I was in late shift yesterday. Feels like long time since my the last time I came in late.

I witness something that emotional yesterday nite. A fellow colleague stayed back as well, he receives a call from his family.

A video call, with his little daughter wanted to say hi. Mommy was teaching the daughter to talk and asking what time daddy will be home?

The father just smiles and unable to give an answer to her….

I finish my work and left at about 8.30pm, I was told he often stays back late. I feel this is very depressing probably he be maybe used to it but is not right.

Technology brought us closer…I would say screw the technology. What we need a the real warmth. Isnt it better if the father can be home for dinner, and able to tug in his daughter to bed?

We often miss out on things that is important. Let us remind ourselves not to leave our family behind. I need to remind myself to, I am still working after I am home.
